Blue Cheese Ball
One of our Christmas traditions is to have a cheeseball. I make a couple different recipes every year because my family loves them so much! It is one of the things we always look forward to. This cheeseball is a little different than your classic cheeseball, but it is so delicious! It doesn’t have an overpowering flavor of blue cheese, but you can definitely tell that it is there. I received this recipe from my adopted grandma and it is a family favorite! It can be paired with any kind of cracker. This could also be used at a family gathering or a work Christmas party. You could also make this for your Super Bowl party, or a tailgate party.
Preparation:
1. Soften the Cream Cheese so that it mixes easily.
2. Chop the green onions into small pieces.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix the Cream Cheese, Blue Cheese crumbles, Green Onions, Mayonnaise, and Garlic Powder.
4. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for about an hour so that it forms into a ball easier. You can form it right away, but it is a lot messier.
5. Chop the Pecans, or use pre-chopped pecans. Form the cheeseball into a large ball and roll it in the Pecans. Place the cheeseball on a dish and refrigerate.
6. Serve and enjoy!
