Chocolate Crinkles
This is a recipe that has been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid. I loved to try to blow the powdered sugar off the cookie and make a mess with it 😊 I also loved these chocolate cookies! They were so delicious! Unfortunately, we lost the recipe for many years and we didn’t make them. I have been on the search for a new recipe and have tried several that were good, but not what I was looking for. I finally decided to branch out an make my own recipe to get exactly what I was looking for. This recipe is based on my grandma’s recipe, but it has more of a rich chocolate flavor and they are soft and fudgy. These cookies stay soft for weeks! This is the best Chocolate Crinkle recipe I have ever eaten. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Cream the Butter, Sugar, and the Brown Sugar in a mixing bowl.
3. Add the Eggs and mix it well.
4. Melt the Chocolate and add it to the batter. Add the Cocoa, Baking Powder, Salt, and the Vanilla. Mix it well.
5. Add the Milk and the Flour and mix it well.
6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 3 hours before baking.
7. Grease the baking sheet and roll the cookie dough into 1-1/2-inch balls, depending on the size of cookie you want. Roll each ball of dough in powdered sugar and place it on the baking sheet. Repeat for each cookie.
8. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until done. Let them sit on the pan for a few minutes before removing them to cool.
9. Serve and enjoy!
