This is a recipe that came from my grandma and has sat in my recipe box for years! I don’t know why I never tried them because they are absolutely delicious! I did change her recipe a little to make them a little more fluffy and moist.  The combination of the orange flavor with the chocolate chips is perfect! They stay soft without going stale. My kids love these cookies and eat them pretty quick whenever I make them. They are soft and moist with the perfect texture. I hope you love these cookies as much as we do!

Ingredients:

1 c. Salted Butter

8 oz. Cream Cheese

1 c. Sugar

2 Eggs

2 Tbl. Grated Orange Peel

1 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Vanilla

3 c. Flour

2 c. Chocolate Chips

Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. In a medium-size mixing bowl cream the Butter, Cream Cheese, and the Sugar.

3. Add the Eggs and mix them well.

4. Finely grate the Orange rind and add it to the Cookie Dough. Mix well.

5. Add the Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt, and the Vanilla. Mix Well.

6. Add the Chocolate Chips and the Flour and mix well.

7. Spoon the cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet.

8. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the pan for 3-4 minutes. Then place them on a cooling rack.

9. Serve and enjoy!
