Shrimp Pasta Salad
This is a delicious pasta salad recipe that I have been wanting to re-create for years. Shortly after I got married my husband’s aunt made a shrimp pasta salad recipe that I loved! I never got the recipe from her and she passed away before I asked her for it. I have always regretted not asking for the recipe, but I think I have it pretty close with this recipe. It is a simple recipe that is delicious and full of subtle flavor. It has some crunch to it and it isn’t overwhelming with Mayonnaise. It has a little kick to it with some spice that also gives it good flavor. I hope you love this salad as much as we do!
Preparation:
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside to cool.
2. Chop the Green Onions and the Celery. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
3. Slice the Olives and place them in the mixing bowl.
4. Thaw the Shrimp and remove the tails. Rinse it and drain. Place it and the pasta in the mixing bowl.
5. In a small mixing bowl combine the Sour Cream, Mayonnaise, Sugar, Vinegar, and the ‘Slap Yo Mama’ Cajun Seasoning. Mix it well.
6. Pour the dressing over the pasta and stir it until it is mixed in completely.
7. Serve and enjoy!
