This is one of my family’s favorite meals! It has such an amazing flavor! Salisbury Steak isn’t really a steak, but it is actually ground beef with spices added. This makes a perfect weeknight meal if you are short on time. It cooks for several hours in the crockpot, so you can make it in the morning and come home to a delicious smelling house and a yummy dinner! It goes with mashed potatoes. You can make them homemade, or you can do it quick with instant potatoes. Either way, you will have a perfect dinner that your family will love. The gravy is also delicious!!!
Preparation:
1. In a large bowl mix the Ground Beef, Onion Soup Mix, Bread Crumbs, and the Milk. I use some food disposable gloves and then mix it with my hands till it is mixed well. You can use a mixer if you want, but this way is just as fast.
2. In a large skillet, heat the oil. Place the flour in a small bowl. Form the ground beef into patties. Place the patties into the flour and make sure that both sides of the patties are coated in flour. Place the patties into the heated skillet and fry on both sides till it is browned on each side.
3. Place the browned patties in the crockpot. Stack them like a pyramid.
4. Make the gravy. In a medium mixing bowl mix the Cream of Chicken Soup, Au Jus Mix, and the Water. Pour over the patties.
5. Cook on a low heat for 5-6 hours until the ground beef is well done.
6. Serve over Mashed Potatoes. Use the sauce as gravy.
7. Enjoy!
