Stuffed Mushrooms
I love anything with mushrooms! These are the perfect appetizer for a fancy dinner, a fun family get-together, or for your game day snacks. The first time I tried them I wanted to keep eating them. They are super simple, and will be a family favorite.
Preparation:
1. Wash the mushrooms and remove the mushroom stems.
2. Finely chop the mushroom stems till you have enough to make 1 cup. I like to use my food processor to do this. It is a lot faster and chops them perfectly. I also like to chop the green onions in the food processor with my mushrooms. If you don’t have a food processor, then chop them as fine as you can.
3. Sauté the mushrooms and green onions in butter and add the season salt.
4. Add the cream and the flour and mix well. Cook 1-2 minutes.
5. Add the cheeses and the bread crumbs and mix well.
6. Heat a pan on medium heat and melt 3 Tbl. Butter and sauté the mushroom tops in on both sides for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove the mushrooms and let them drain on a paper towel.
7. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
8. Fill the mushroom tops with the filling and sprinkle them with Parmesan cheese.
9. Bake them in the oven at 400°F for 7-10 minutes.
10. Serve them hot, and enjoy!
